Project enquiries

The contact form asks for your name, email address, service type and project details. I use this information to respond to your enquiry and discuss your project requirements.

The app saves your message in the website database before attempting email delivery. It attempts to send a notification containing these details to my contact and personal inboxes, and a confirmation to your email address. A message can remain saved even if email delivery fails.

Storage and retention

The website does not automatically expire or delete enquiry records. Messages remain in the database until removed. Email copies may also remain in the sending and receiving mail services.

To ask about a message, request a copy, correct its details or request its removal, use the contact details on this website. Please do not include sensitive information that is not needed for your project enquiry.

Cookies and browser preferences

The site uses an essential session cookie for functionality such as security checks and administrator sign-in. Browser storage also holds preferences such as your display theme and analytics choice.

The cookie notice offers Accept All and Essential Only. Accept All allows Google Analytics to load when it is configured. Essential Only does not enable Google Analytics. Your choice is saved in this browser, so another browser or device may have a different choice.

Website analytics

If Google Analytics is configured and you allow it, it can record usage information such as pages viewed and interactions with the site. My contact form's custom events describe actions such as starting or submitting the form; they do not include your name, email address or project message.

The hosting platform, Replit, may also collect traffic information, including IP addresses and browser data. The website can send named interaction events to hosting analytics when it is available. This is separate from the optional Google Analytics setting.

Service providers

The services used to host the website, store its database and send or receive email process information needed to provide those services. Enquiry details are included in the email notifications described above.

The server and hosting provider can keep operational logs for troubleshooting and security. Security checks and request limits help protect the contact form and administrator access.

External links and videos

Links to social networks and other websites take you to services with their own privacy policies. Some project pages include YouTube videos. When an embedded video loads, YouTube may receive information about your connection and browser.
